Unpopular opinion: Teachers don't want mugs and flowers.

Hello reader! How are you doing? If you are in the teaching profession, well it's that time of the year again....soon Gifts galore! Woohoo.  If you're not a teacher, this post must seem a little odd, but read on anyway. You've come this far.

I've made a list, checked it twice
Here are the things that are truly nice.

1. PENS AND MARKERS



Can't get enough of them. Literally. You cannot imagine how many red pens a teacher goes through each year. We ask ourselves, why are pens so short, they should be able to hold more red stuff in them. Let's be real, half our pens are dedicated to students who bring ZERO Stationery to school.  "Pen ille teacherrrr" " Teacher ade pen tak? pen saye hilang la"" Lao Shi, wo mei you bi".

2. PAPER


I cannot tell you how appreciative we would be if people just dropped us a ream or two of these babies.Why do we need paper you ask? Glad you did..its for worksheets and forms and letters, certificates, namelists, exam papers, modules, answer booklets, the list goes on....

ops...Let's be real again, half of these are made into paper planes and flown from third floor balconies. So in support of higher floor plane throwing, HELP US HELP YOU.

3. MUGS! kidding ...not mugs. Don't get mugs. or those little trophies or medals that say BEST TEACHER EVER.

We don't exactly react this way. 

4. flowers....kidding again...no I'm not. ....yes I am ...kidding . Definitely no flowers.


5. CHOCOLATES


Any chocolate is appealing to teachers. It doesn't have to be Ferrero Rocher *What? who said that?* We'll take anything! Kit kat? Snicker bar! Choki Choki is the best!!!! God knows we'll need it the next day when school resumes. Who am I kidding? Everything shall be consumed upon arrival home that evening.

6. Can you give us....the day off?


Jokes...sigh...my my these requests are getting a bit out of hand.
